Long before the "New Wave of American Heavy Metal" had been christened, Burn The Priest laid the foundation for what would prove to be the rebirth of metal with a pummeling combination of grind, death and thrash. [BTP homepage]

Burnt by the Sun's compositions are meticulously dynamic, paying as much attention to deft nuance and fluid transition as much as being high velocity displays of brute force. The end result is a relentless fusion of post-everything virtuosity that left behind the charred remains of convention and sterility with a scorched earth policy of progression, aggression and perpetual motion. Burnt by the Sun will enter the studio in early 2009 to record their new release on Relapse Records.

Earthride are a another incredible band from the Doom Capitol/ Maryland, the fertile breeding ground that has spawned: Pentagram, Internal Void, Wretched, Iron Man, Unorthodox, and of course Spirit Caravan. The Earthride sound is a brutal combination of Sherms' whiskey burned, Lemmy-esque vokills trainwrecked into a punishing mountain of doom. One listen to the mammoth wall of guitar that Kyle (sonic titan) Van Steinburg blankets over the concrete rythym section and its obvious that Earthride holds their own. So loud, So alive. All heavy, the Earthride!!!

Founded in Regina, Saskatchewan (Canada) by Tim Roth in the late '90s, INTO ETERNITY first caught the attention of a small Dutch label that released their self-titled debut in 2000. Two years later, sophomore album Dead or Dreaming was released internationally by Century Media Records and was then supported by tours with Dying Fetus, Kataklysm and Hate Eternal which formally introduced the band to the metal world. One of the most critically acclaimed bands in metal and undoubtedly one of its hardest working INTO ETERNITY borrows from all aspects of heavy music to form the perfect blend of technicality, memorable songwriting, traditional heavy metal and the sheer savagery of metal's extreme genres.

Founded in the summer of 2002, US Christmas is a band from the Appalachian mountains in western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. USX plays a unique brand of psychedelic, high volume blues rock that evades any easy classification. A group of musicians who pay attention to a wide variety of music from all eras and origins, focusing on themes of earth, nature, and terrestrial human history. And though many have focused on the band's use of vintage synthesizers and theremin, the band does not rely on any one instrument to create its bizarre sounds, proof that brains and hands are a musician's most important tools.
